Merchants of Happiness

In the Neverland of Insurance, business is still the same
For every failed Promise, there is a false Claim;
We sell words to shoo away fears
We secure hopes, to wipe away family’s tears

When at crossroads of Life, for fairness sake
You ponder which way to take
Choosing the path of honesty, is not a grave error
‘cause you can’t see an ugly face in your own mirror

While you cover real intent in a messy play of words, your Policies lapse
Behind the wall of shame, you hear a wail of a family’s collapse
You trash a claim as you think it’s a fraud
Taking money first, without checking isn’t it very odd?

Then theirs not to reason why
Theirs but to do and die
In the mad rush, sales numbers would at first, fly
Everyone makes money but the customer, on the sly

Money, Money anywhere, not a moment to spare
You give, I take, don’t Claim, who’d care;
If honesty is the best policy, why would it lapse?
‘cause its Surrender higher than its Face value.

Agents of life slowly turn into brokers of death
Still sales graphs soon hit the ground earth
Every day a million feet vainly on the street
Desperate to find a living, from a billion people they’d meet

When I ponder should I hang up my boots
In the crevice of mind, an idea takes roots
If insurance is slipping into a reverse game of “seek n hide”
It’s time to find benefits for all, beginning from customer side

I am ready to sail away from the Puddle into rough Sea
To find new Ports of hope
In the digital World, creating value is the Key
I paddle fast, ignited by the promises to keep.

Do More and Think New
Be Helpful and forever Be Honest
Take the broom, to create in Swach Bharat
A business of Swach Bima, clearing the unwanted mess
To empower the true Merchants of Happiness.
